How “per election” works

The Ethics chart states contribution limits are election-specific and reset after each election only if the candidate’s name will appear on another ballot during the cycle. Contributors may not allocate one check across multiple elections.

Federal races

Federal candidate contribution limits are set by the Federal Election Commission, not the Oklahoma Ethics chart above.

Federal (FEC) — federal candidates only (2025–2026 cycle): Individual contributions to a candidate committee are capped at $3,500 per election (inflation-indexed). Cash contributions max $100; anonymous cash max $50. These figures do not apply to Oklahoma school board or municipal committees. Source: fec.gov contribution limits.

Not covered here: the full PAC-to-PAC matrix, cash and anonymous contribution caps, and tribal contribution rules. See the Oklahoma Ethics Commission’s official chart and guides for those.
